Hollywood has a mystique that can overwhelm one's senses. While searching for your perfect shot of the Hollywood Sign, be aware of your surroundings. Did you park in a legal space? Are you blocking the roadway with your car or standing in traffic trying to take that shot? Have you left any food packaging outside or on the ground? If your visit includes this kind of consideration, the people who live in the area will be more than happy to assist, guide, and help you along the way. While visiting any of the areas we recommend, make sure to take a cell phone with you. Check that your battery is fully charged. If you should need emergency assistance during a hike, this will be vital. Note: If you declare yourself lost in our hills, Los Angeles Fire and Police resources will be dispatched to find and assist you.
